"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is a first-person shooter video game published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward. It came out in November 2013. The game takes place in an alternate timeline in which the United States has been devastated by a cataclysmic event, leading to the rise of a new superpower known as the Federation. Players take on the role of Logan Walker, a member of the Ghosts, a highly trained unit of soldiers that fight against the Federation's military.

The single-player narrative follows Logan and David Walker as they join the remnants of the United States military forces to wage a guerrilla struggle against the Federation. The game sends players on missions in a variety of settings, including the war-torn streets of Caracas, Venezuela, a space station, and even underwater surroundings.  

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" added a number of new gameplay elements and features. Riley, a trained military dog who supports the player during missions, is one noticeable addition. Riley can be directly controlled, undertaking reconnaissance, fighting adversaries, and other missions. The game also includes dynamic map events like earthquakes and floods that can change the topography and open up new strategic chances.

Aside from the single-player campaign, "Call of Duty: Ghosts" has a rich multiplayer option with a variety of maps, game styles, and customizable soldier load-outs. Traditional game types such as Team Deathmatch and Domination are included, as well as a new game style called "Squads," in which players can construct

and customize their own team of troops to compete against other players or AI-controlled squads.

The multiplayer mode includes a new feature called "Create-a-Soldier," which lets players customize their characters' look, load-outs, perks, and killstreak

In addition, "Call of Duty: Ghosts" includes the Extinction mode, a cooperative game mode in which four players work together

to defeat hordes of alien creatures known as Cryptids. Players must collaborate to protect objectives, gain money to buy weapons and upgrades and survive waves of progressively difficult foes.

Critics gave "Call of Duty: Ghosts" mostly positive reviews, complimenting its multiplayer mode and new gameplay innovations while criticizing its single-player campaign for lacking creativity. The aesthetics and sound design of the game were also praised.
